We Dance For Rain
A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, and Linux
A casual relaxing strategy jam game for https://itch.io/jam/godot-wild-jam-58
Water the crops to satisfy the needs of your worshipers listed on the left of the screen. Rain upon your worshipers if they are harvesting too many plants, the plants need to mature before they spread their seeds to grow more plants. Fly over to the shrines and swoop down to pick up power ups!
Villagers will display what they are doing with the icons above their head. If they seem to be stuck, rain some water on them, that will bring them back to their senses!
Includes four seasons of gameplay with increasing demand from your worshippers.
Seasonal Quests:
On the left side of the screen, you see icons that represent your seasonal quests. There are three types of quests:
1)
Have the shown amount of this plant in mature state at the same time
2)
Have the shown amount of harvested resources (in terms of tower height)
Greyed out icons are not fulfilled yet, if all icons are shown in gold, the quest is finished.
Note that some quests might be quite hard to finish, some because of how the game is balanced, others because of bugs. For instance, plants only make seeds when they are fully grown (and not harvested in the process). They spread in the direction of the wind, and only if there is no other plant already there.
Controls:
- WASD to move
- SHIFT to go up
- CTRL to go down
- SPACE to rain
Also supports controllers and remapping inputs.
Notes:
The audio settings don't apply until you restart your game. We did not notice this one until it was too late.
In the last season(s), there may be scoring text, blocking you from clicking the "Main Menu" button. Don't worry, you won't miss anything if you can't click this.
The credits are not shown ingame.
